The backdrop for a tiny garden in Paris’ Montmartre neighborhood, is a wall that speaks of l’amour. More than 300 declarations of love, in 250 different languages, draw visitors from around the world—on Valentine’s Day, for special anniversaries, for marriage proposals—or just to revel, for a moment, in everything the most romantic city in the world stands for. Local artist Frederic Baron roamed the city streets asking Parisians to write “I love you” in their native language. Then he and artist-calligrapher, Claire Kito, created 500 lava-glazed tiles to construct: Le Murs de Je t’Aime, or I Love You: The Wall.
