PARIS FOR NEW YEAR’S EVEThe City of Lights welcomes the New Year with citywide festivities. The traditions include papillottes, chocolates or other candies whose wrapping “pops” when you pull it open. And speaking of pops, fireworks are permitted throughout the city on New Year’s Eve and begin to go off as evening falls.
For visitors who wish to witness the holiday en masse, the Champs Elysées is the place to be and the crowds begin to gather around 9 p.m. Champagne and sparkling wine flows freely, the traditional cheek-to-cheek kiss marks the midnight hour, as does the spectacle of the glittering Eiffel Tower which can be seen from many spots on the famous avenue.
On January 9, the store sales begin… Stay tuned!
The Chocolatine staff is celebrating the holidays and will return with news for the New Year on Tuesday, January 5. We wish you and your family warm and wonderful holidays and a New Year of good health, happiness and prosperity.
JOYEUX NOEL & BONNE ANNÉE!
